| 25th Anniversary of September 11th |

A total of 2,977 innocent lives were lost in one of the most consequential events in American history. I joined the Bethel Park Spencer Family YMCA and State Sen. Devlin Robinson for our First Responder Stair Climb Appreciation and Recruitment Event on September 11th. We were joined by local fire, police, and EMS departments that joined us in climbing the 110 flights of the world trade centers.
Having a space to come together as a community is so important, now more than ever. I am very fortunate for all of the support to make this event possible. We were able to display the American flag just feet away from our machines – serving not only as a symbol of this great nation, but a reminder of the lives lost that day. Countless more first responders have perished from Ground-Zero-related health complications.
I remember exactly where I was on 9/11, like so many others, but there are over 100 million Americans who were not born or do not remember the attacks. I am very grateful for the faculty and teachers who brought their students, all of whom only know what has been taught to them. It is our job to keep the memory of so many alive, the civilians who went to work that day and never came home, the brave passengers aboard flight 93, and the first responders who climbed those stairs carrying equipment, carrying hoses, carrying tools –and carrying the hope that they could save someone.

| Suicide Prevention Week |

I know it can be an uncomfortable topic, but it’s so important to create awareness that it cannot be ignored. I am guilty myself of not wanting to talk about suicide after having lost a close high school friend and legal mentor both to suicide. I know many of you have experienced similar losses. Please join me in remembering this number: 988, which is a suicide and crisis hotline.
The importance of mental health resources and awareness extends far beyond one month, one day, or one week – help is available 24/7/365 by dialing or texting 988. This line is confidential for anyone who needs support or has a loved one experiencing a mental health crisis.

| Funding to Support Pittsburgh Robotics Secured |

We are excited to announce $90,000 in funding for robotics programming in the greater Pittsburgh region! First Robotics and their team, TeraBridges, at Upper St. Clair High School have championed this effort to bring robotics to more Pennsylvania schools.

| 250th Special Session at Congress Hall |

As part of the celebration of the nation’s 250th birthday, I joined my fellow legislators for a historic session at Philadelphia’s Congress Hall. In conjunction with the America250PA organization, the day’s events included a full-day civic learning experience for students. I hosted Vikrant Kamat, a junior at Upper St. Clair High School and one of our incredible summer interns in my district office. It was an honor to gather at what was the meeting place of the United States Congress from 1790-1800.

This weekend was a wonderful day for Bethel Park’s Community Day.
My staff and I enjoyed talking to constituents about how we are working for you! | House Legislative Fellowship Accepting Applications |

The Pennsylvania House of Representatives Legislative Fellowship Program is currently accepting applications for the Spring 2027 semester. Applications are due on October 1, 2026. The Fellowship Program is based in Pennsylvania’s magnificent Capitol Building in Harrisburg. Fellows are assigned to work in House Standing Committees or House Leadership offices, are compensated for their work (which may also include college credit), and are provided opportunities to draft and present their own legislation, attend meet-and-greets with various public officials and staff, and tour some of the Commonwealth’s historic public spaces, to name a few.
Qualified applicants will be:

College undergraduate juniors or seniors, graduate students, or law school students; |

• |
Enrolled in a Pennsylvania college/university, or a Pennsylvania resident enrolled in an out-of-state institution; and |
| |
• |
Pursuing any major with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. |
